Experience at Mustang Basketball Camp

 My daughters just completed their 6th year at Mustang basketball camp. This is one of their favorite camps to attend each summer. In addition to having fun learning new basketball skills one of my favorite parts of the camp is the character traits they talk about and reinforce each day. This camp goes beyond basketball teaching kids life lessons they can carry with them forever. The counselors are often local high school or college students who play basketball - my daughters have always had positive experiences with the counselors. Truly a great camp for the Camarillo community & surrounding areas. Thank you Joy & Kevin!

 We want to thank you for the amazing experience at Mustang Basketball camp. Ashley and Austin Jue did the 1st session of camp and absolutely loved it! They are begging me to sign them up for the next camp but we have prior commitments.  We were so impressed how the kids came home each day excited to talk about what they learned, the bracelets they received and how fun the coaches are. Each day there was knowledge gained, new skills learned and a positive impact with the staff and coaches. The kids did not want camp to end. This camp has provided the kids with a solid foundation for basketball, and has also provided a positive impact for trying new things out of their comfort zones.  You do an amazing job and we want to Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication for making this successful.

 I can't speak highly enough about Mustang camp.  Kevin Kiech is a masterful coach and really beloved by the kids. He and Joy Garcia run a first-rate camp and the teens on staff are engaging and conscientious.  My boys absolutely love every minute of it and want to attend all 3 sessions. The positive messages and excellent role-modeling by Kiech are the kinds of invaluable building blocks this parent is always seeking to gather for my boys' foundation in life.

 What an OUTSTANDING basketball camp this one is...one of the best around!  Kevin Kiech and Joy Garcia did a fantastic job in developing this program.  Our two boys loved it!  We were very impressed with how much thought was put into this camp and how well organized it was.  Players at all levels were challenged with a variety of fundamentals to increase their skill levels.  The staff even worked with the players in setting goals and also stressed important character traits such as attitude, commitment, and respect in not only basketball, but in every day life.  We highly recommend this camp.  Our boys learned a ton and had great fun at the same time!

I send my son to summer camps every year and by far this is his most favorite camp.  As a parent, I appreciate the daily feedback email from the Camp which lets me know what went on every day at camp.  It also gives me great information to continue the learning at home.  This is not just a Basketball Camp!  This is a camp that allows your child to learn the game of basketball, learn life lessons and apply both of those to their daily life!  My son has enjoyed the camp so much this year, he is going for a second week!  Thanks to the great leadership of Coach Kiech and Garcia, we have the best camp for our kids!

 I want to thank the coaches at the camp. This camp has helped me with dribbling, shooting, and different types of moves such as the step back shot, combo moves, and many others. Its really fun to earn glow in the dark bracelets. The bracelets all stand for an initial for the word R.E.A.C.T. R=respect E= effort A=attitude C= commitment T=team work   My favorite part of the camp is at the end of the day when we play 5 on 5. I look forward to coming back.
